该剧改编自樱泽铃的同名漫画，讲述了做事风格极其商务化、效率化的女性岩木亚希子，作为继母加入新的家庭与女儿渐渐磨合相处的故事。。Centers on the Kilcher family and their community outside Homer, Alaska. Led by patriarch Atz Kilcher, singer Jewel's father, the family have lived on their land for three generations. The show also focuses on the homesteaders who live by the Kilchers, including, Brother Roadkill, who eats animals lying dead on the side of the road.。
