该剧讲述了对生活丧失信念的桐泽祥吾（木村拓哉饰）回到母校担任拳击教练，通过与学生们的接触，他渐渐恢复热情，开始向未来大步迈进的故事。桐泽祥吾虽然在高中时期创下了拳击四冠王的辉煌功绩，但因为某种理由放弃了拳击，在经历妻子离世等打击后，他完全丧失了活下去的希望，每天都过着自暴自弃的生活。后来他在好友甲斐和恩师芦屋的极力支持下，担任了母校松叶台高中拳击部的教练。然而，如今的拳击部面临边缘化、将要被解散等种种问题。突然被任命为顾问的折原葵也完全没有对拳击的知识。面对毫无热情的新教练和新顾问，拳击部的每个人都抱有各种想法。最终桐泽祥吾不仅改变了周围人，也重拾了对生活的热情。。Kristin is the daughter of a prominent landowner in medieval Norway.
