Fårö Document 1979 is the ten-year followup to the first documentary Bergman made about his adopted home, Fårö, where he filmed many of his best works and lived until the end of his life。阿飞的电影梦想一直被父母老师怀疑，好友们亦视为笑话。在即将独自走上社会之际，他偶然在网上看到一个所谓为优秀年轻人提供创作影片机会的“新导演计划”，认为终于可以使自己的才华得到认可，不想却因此卷入了所谓的成人世界游戏规则的漩涡中。。
