国民的漫画家・赤塚不二夫さんの生誕80年を記念し、名作ギャグ漫画「天才バカボン」が初めて長編アニメ映画として製作されることになり、「天才バカヴォン 蘇るフランダースの犬」のタイトルで2015年春休みに全国で公開されることが決まった。 監督、脚本、声優を務めるのは、「秘密結社鷹の爪」シリーズで知られる映像クリエイターのFROGMAN。バカボン一家と、「世界名作劇場」第1作として放送され人気を博した「フランダースの犬」の主人公・ネロと愛犬パトラッシュという、絶対に一緒になるはずのない2組を引き合わせることに成功した。 物語は、日本中を感動させた「フランダースの犬」のラストシーンから始まる。しかし、ネロとパトラッシュは天使の手を振りほどき、悪の手先となって現代によみがえるという設定。いままで自分たちを虐げてきた人間への復しゅうの鬼となり、悪事を繰り返すな...。James Robertson buys a painting depicting witches being burned at the stake, one of whom bears an uncanny resemblance to his wife, Chris.
