But when a reporter, pursuing a lead on racketeer Rienzi, is badly beaten, Hutcheson is stung into a full fledged crusade against the gan...。1952年的夏天，波兰人民共和国建立的第八个年头，农民们在田间地头劳作，满心欢喜收割着自己辛勤劳动得来的果实。可就在解放前，农民的生活却凄惨无比。19356年出版的《农民日记》，记录了解放前穷苦波兰农民的惨状。肥沃的土地养育了农民，但否定了他们的存在。他们的孩子因缺少营养形成弓形腿，每家只能在复活节时才能买到一公斤糖，为了面包他们移民和漂泊，居无定所。 摄制组按照日记中的描述，走访了那些村落小镇，见证着解放后农民生活天翻地覆般的改变，农民子女对美好未来的追求和践行。忘不掉前夜的黑暗，同时更加感激今天的温暖阳光……。
