该故事是以90年代初的广安市为城市背景，讲述广安当地人物李广安的“笑托”人生和动人的喜剧爱情故事。。合唱部部长聪实被黑道小哥成田狂儿缠上，要求他教自己唱歌。狂儿所在的集团因为老大的爱好经常举办卡拉OK大赛，输掉的人身上会被老大刺青，而且刺的是每个人特别讨厌的图案。“去唱卡拉OK吧！”聪实每周都不情不愿地被狂儿拉去指导唱歌，但狂儿欠缺歌唱天赋，很难教好。然而随着时间的推移，两人之间渐渐萌生出奇妙的情义……总之，去唱卡拉OK吧！。The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best.
