由于所在的东大研究室因故关闭，头脑灵光的研究员田茂青志（二宫和也 饰）回到当初念书的升学名校小田原城德高中，受聘成为一名老师。当年田茂曾是校棒球部的队员，与棒球名门堂东学院的明星谷内田健太郎（市川海老藏 饰）有过刻骨铭心的较量。而今棒球部今非昔比，只有六名球员根本无法参加正式比赛。在棒球经理樽见柚子（有村架纯 饰）等人的劝说下，田茂勉为其难与棒球再续前缘，担任棒球部的教练。凭借一股“就算徒劳也要取胜”的念头，田茂找来赤岩（福士苍汰 饰）等人。 虽然水平有很大的差距，但他相信这支队伍即使弱小也能战胜强者……。顶级富豪季东升婚变后遇阿九，他隐瞒身份助阿九渡危机，用钞能力帮阿九在同学会长脸。真相曝光后获阿九家人认可。在项目竞标中，他助阿九公司中标，后成为其上司，最终二人终成眷属。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
