二十世纪二十年代，川北三合县舵把子李山虎欲霸占侄儿媳妇罗品仙不成，欲致罗死地。后被县长千金张明珠所搭救，但罗仍未逃出伪县长张继仁等人的调戏。罗品仙只能逃到静土庵带发修行。李山虎带人追至静土庵, 罗被迫再次逃跑，途中遇险被“青龙会”白玉兰搭救至山寨，就此罗跟白学会了骑马、打枪。罗发誓欲报此仇！罗学艺下山后同‘花蝴蝶"、张明珠、喜妹等众姐妹成立了“义姑社”，用胆识和智慧与李山虎、赵守成、张继仁展开抗衡斗争。最终在封建军阀、恶霸、土匪的围攻下“义姑社”众姐妹壮烈牺牲。罗生死不明，劫后余生的张明珠走出三合县去寻找更广阔的天地......。This film marks the directorial debut of Robert Benayoun.
