主人公・幸(さち)は、木綿の産地摂津国（現大阪北中部あたり）の生まれ。元武士で商人を毛嫌いする父に育てられます。兄と父が急死、母と妹・結を残し、大坂天満(おおさかてんま)の呉服屋「五鈴屋（いすずや）」に女中奉公に入ります。「商いは邪道」と教えられていた幸ですが、五鈴屋の商いを目の当たりにし、その面白さに心を奪われます。幸の商才に気付いたのが三男・智蔵と番頭の治兵衛(じへえ)、先々代（二代目）の御寮さんの富久(ふく)でした。五鈴屋は、古手の行商から商いをはじめ、二代目の時に大坂天満に呉服を扱う店を構えました。しかし、三代目夫婦が早逝、商売を継いだ四代目・徳兵衛(とくべえ)は、商いに身が入らず、放蕩の限りを尽くしていました。傾きかけた店を立て直すため、四代目徳兵衛に船場の大店から嫁・菊栄を迎えますが、徳兵衛の放蕩は結局収まらず、数年で離婚。すでに、悪評の...。The film revolves around Tegan and Sara Quin, gay twin sisters from Calgary, Alberta, who formed a rock band that attracted devoted followers, many of them from the LGBTQ+ community.
